I just read today that Dale Jr., his brother Kerry and sister Kelley are planning to open a motorsports park on the coast of Alabama. It will include a 75,000-seat oval speedway, a road course, a drag strip and a dirt track, as well as entertainment venues. The site, which is to be named "Alabama Motorsports Park: A Dale Earnhardt Jr. Speedway" will be completed in the fall of 2009.

I think that's awesome! Maybe at some point it will be added to the NASCAR race schedule, but I'm sure that it will be a popular place to race.

Jr is not really given much of a chance to win the chase, but he's smart and driven, both in business and racing. I think the rest of the drivers better watch out...
